Academic Team Takes 2nd Place in State!
Congratulations to the 8th Grade Academic Team for their outstanding performance on Saturday, January 22, coming in 2nd place at the PAGE State Tournament held at Georgia State College and University in Milledgeville. Chamblee advanced through a field of the strongest 24 teams from throughout the state before losing in the Championship game to Westminster. Job well done, Academic Team! Way to represent our school!

The Social Butterflies Girls Mentoring Group is partnering with Metro Atlanta homeless shelters to help end hunger by sponsoring a Cereal Drive at Chamblee Middle from January 4 - February 4, 2022! We are collecting unopened boxes/bags of dry cereal (oatmeal, grits, cereal bars, poptarts) to assist these families. As the pandemic continues, food insecurity has increased for many households and the Social Butterflies are here to help!
Please check your pantries and shelves to donate to a good cause. Breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day! Drop off your donations at Chamblee Middle School beginning January 4. For questions or other ways to help with this initiative or to support our girl's group, please contact Ms. Cheffen.
Robodogs Move on to Super Regional
Congratulations to the Robodogs (CMS Robotics) for their performance at the FLL Lego League DeKalb Regional held at Dunwoody High School  on Saturday, December 11.  Robodogs III was the overall tournament winner and received the Champions Award (1st). They move on to Super Regional in January. Robodogs IV received the Robot Game Award.
Excellent job, Robodogs! We are so proud of you.
CMS Spelling Bee Winner and Runner-up

Congratulations to 7th grader Joanna Thomas, the winner of the 2021-2022 CMS Spelling Bee, and 7th grader Ege Berkmen, the runner-up. Joanna and Ege went through so many rounds of words that we very nearly ran out of words to use. We are proud of the hard work that both Joanna and Ege put into preparing for the competition. Joanna will represent Chamblee Middle School at the DeKalb County Schools Spelling Bee in January.
Congratulations also to the 39 other students that participated in the Spelling Bee. We are proud of each and every one of them!
